The Atlantic Ocean is an over achiever. It has churned out the second named tropical storm of the 2009 Atlantic Hurricane Season. This will make the second tropical depression that has elevated its sustained wind speeds high enough (40 MPH/35 KNOTS and above) to be upgraded by the National Hurricane Center to a tropical storm. Both active storms were upgraded within the last twenty-four hours! Bill is this storm's name and it is trudging away westard across the Atlantic Ocean right behind Tropical Storm Ana. It looks like next week and the week after might be some rocking times here in South Florida. Be safe and stay informed people. |
