It was not even eight hours ago I saw that the National Hurricane Service announced the fourth tropical depression of the 2009 Atlantic Hurricane Season. Then as of the 1 PM CDT advisory issued, the depression had been upgraded to a tropcical storm named Claudette.
It's unlikely that this storm will have enough time over the warm waters of the Gulf Of Mexico to grow to hurricane strength. That is a very good thing for those who live in the Florida pan handle.
You can keep up to date on the latest advisories on this storm as well as Tropical Storms Ana and Bill by subscribing to the National Hurricane Center RSS Feeds.

As a web application developer who works numerous websites that are spread across several different servers, it really pays off to invest the time to create scripts that can automagically perform the grunt work of regular maintenance. Especially something as critical as backups.
